B3.2. Three Dimensional Frame Structure

Problem Description

A three dimensional steel frame subjected to vertical and horizontal loading is examined

(Figure B3.2.1).

Figure B3.2.1. Three Dimensional Steel Frame Structure.

Geometry, Properties and Loads

The cross section of columns is HEB-360, of inclined and horizontal beams is IPE-330, of

rafters is IPE-140 and of stiff joints is LEQ100x10. Modulus of elasticity of the material is

210GPa and Poisson ratio is 0.30. The class of structural steel is S235.
