CHAPTER 10C 'DIMENSIONING' 61 In the Connector field you define the type of connector by selecting from the list Bolts or Screws or Nails, the corresponding Quality and the value of the Fuk breakage limit is automatically updated. Alternatively, the designer can enter his own value for the breakage limit to be taken into account in the checks. In the Lamellae field you set the parameters for the lamellae to be used in the connection by choosing between metal and wooden lamellae. In each case you select from the corresponding list the quality of the material, the number of plates and their thickness. • In the case of the Wood Slab , the parameter Fiber Angle/wood slab axis is activated where the user defines the angle that the fibers of the wood slab have in relation to the axis of the main member. • In case the Slit Thickness is greater than the thickness of the laminate, uncheck the checkbox and set the Slit Thickness.
