CHAPTER 10B 'DIMENSIONING' 62 3.6 Results The "Results" option displays the results of the checks: • In the first column is the node number (7) • The second column shows the upper pole (13) and the lower pole (7) • Then, by direction (yy and zz), we have beams (first by yy) running from the left (not present here, the post is angular) and from the right (39) • Then we have separately for each check, the sum of the coincident beam strength moments ( SMyb ) and the sum of the column strength moments ( SMyc ). Which of the two quantities is larger determines which of the two shear forces is the critical one according to the diagram below.
